Hey guys
I need help from you and I a thankful for your time.
I arrived to canada in 2008 and i used fake documents to arrive here and claim refugee. The immigration officer in the airport wanted to deport me, so he issued a deportation order. i told him i want to claim refugee, he asked me a few questions. then he decided i am eligible for a claim. i was granted a refugee stats.. then got accepted as a convention refugee. I applied for PR card and got it. in 3 years i left canada only one time to see my family outside of my country because i cant visit my family back home. Now I am applying for citizenship. there is a question in the application for citizenship asking about if i had a deportation order before. i called cic call center asking about that , they said it is normal to get a deportation order if u come to canada in illegal way and i just need to make copies of the deportation order ( that was cancelled ) and a copy of the document that stats i am eligible for a refugee claim and just include them in my citizenship application.
Does anyone have this process before? any problems should i expect?
