Hi Forum Members ,

I am in a very tough situation .I applied for my Federal and have gotten my medicals done but unfortunately the company I filed my Immigration with has folded a part of operations and is offering me part time 25-30 hrs in a week .The problem with me is that I am on a closed work permit and cant change jobs.

What should I do .Any help is appreciated

Hello Hsabharwal...
In my opinion you have 2 options.
First accept the offer and wait in the company until you receive your PR.
Or Second, Open your case by calling the PNP officer and explaining your situation, The result is going to depend of the officer. I have heard that they are willing to help you, but you also may have the risk that if you quit your job the conditions of your PNP and have the risk to be cancel.
If you ask I prefer the first one, but is opt to you.
Good Luck..

In my humble opinion, you should sacrifice for a better goal -- that of attaining your PR status. You could borrow some extra money or do whatever you can to save until the end is achieved. The end justifies the means after all. You'll have to cope with it for no more than 5 months hopefully.
