Hello just want to ask something regarding to my status here.. I'm foreign Worker here in Canada.

1. I received my new work permit this week. ( my new permit will expired Feb.2015 because my passport is expired Feb 2015 also)
2. I came here in Canada last sept. 2013.
3. My old work permit expire June 2015.
4. The reason that why I renew early my work permit because my employer have old LMO and that LMO expired one day before they apply for my application.
5. I use my old passport for my application because my new passport is still process.

My Question is

1. What is the valid work permit? my new work permit expired Feb 2015 or my old valid until June 2015? Why this thing happen because that's why I renew permit here to stay longer
2. Maybe the officer who check my application might mistake because my old permit valid until June 2015 and now he gave me valid until Feb 2015.
3. Please tell to me what I need to do.

Thanks

1. Your NEW work permit is the valid one.
2. Your work permit validity will coencides with your passport expiration. As you have said your passport will be expired on feb 2015 that is why they issued your new work permit until feb 2015.
3. Wait for your new passport and use it when you renew you work permit next time.

Is your intial job offer/contract until June 2015? Is this date significant/seen in any other documents when you presented yourself at the PoE?

There is leeway given to the examining officer on the duration of your permit/temporary residence -
ENF-4
13.18. Duration of temporary resident status
R183(2) states that the period authorized for the stay of a temporary resident is six months or any other period that an officer imposes based on the following criteria:
- the temporary resident's means of support in Canada;
- the period for which the temporary resident applies to stay; and
- the expiry of the temporary resident's passport or other travel document.

It may have been that June 2015 was used as the basis of your WP expiry if it was seen in any of your documents presented at PoE. See if this date is present in any of your documents.

Nevertheless, (unfortunately) your new permit supersedes the old one. In this case, the duration of your permit was based on the third criteria - expiry of the passport.
