hello everyone, i would like some advice please
i am almost done completing 2 years work experience. i am a hairstylist noc skills 6341
i have my reference letters from my employers, i have completed my celpip test, (11, 10, 9, 8) i also did my certificate of qualification exam i am now licensed as a journeyperson under the ontario college of trades.
i also did my wes report, the thing is i am from the united kingdom, i called wes up before i submitted anything i called them 3 times, do you guys validate nvq's they said yes, we are horrible organisation who give so many misinformed answers, i spent $600 on wes, getting transcripts and gcse's and my nvq's done...they said we don't evaluate trades or vocations, i am now only left with secondary school eca report.
i did nvq level 2 and nvq level 3 in hairdressing in college
i contacted icas saying if i send my nvq level 2 and level 3 with my gcse can i get an evaluation?
i ALSO back in 2015 came as a student for 6 months (on a 8 student month visa) did a 27 weeks program on a colour specialist course, it was just additional training i did at an accredited hair school and do additional, training in my colour skills, then i got offered a job. (further more, it says canadian's diplomas are not recognised if they are 8 months or less, i did 6 but i still went to canadian hair program for 6 months for top up training)
my concern is and i asked my lawyer, he says that on your eca report it has to say 1 year college but i did that (my nvq's in technical school)
imagine your a cook applying under cec and u did ur culinary school in europe for examples, you did ur work experience in canada but you need points for express entry, (there is a category that says 1 year program at university, college, trade or technical school) but these's eca organisations wont look at cook or chef's certificate, but lets say they did their certificate of qualification and applying under experience class cec
let me know guys, once i am succesfull i would be happy to help other people
