I'm asking for a friend. I was wondering if one can apply for PCC for permanent residence for a spousal sponsorship application before the marriage ceremony. My friend is getting married on July 10 and the fiance (Canadian citizen )is from Toronto. She is coming down to get married and will leave in the first week of August. The man is planning to go for the PCC interview before the wedding so as to get the PCC certificate processing started so he is able to get it before the fiance goes back to Toronto and apply for the spousal application online before she leaves.
Do you think it is wise to do the PCC before getting married or apply it after the marriage? Is it even possible to do it before the marriage ceremony? Also what documents do they ask for during the interview for the PCC? The man is applying in Chennai, India.
