Hi,

My parents are Indian citizen, and they applied for Tourist Visa for Canada online. The application was transmitted on 4th June.
We have got no response back, just the confirmation with the application number. The website of High Commission on Canada in India have given approximate time of 10 days for visa to be stamped.

I have already sent an email to delhi-im-enquiry@international.gc.ca but no response on that as well.
I know the about the strike . Is Indian office affect by it as well? Also any idea where the online application are processed?
Can anyone suggest what should be done in this scenario? Anyone in the same boat?

Thanks a ton in advance for your response.

A strike is affecting visa offices right now - so normal processing times do not apply. There is nothing you can do but wait.

ND VO is working for sure. My mother in law applied online on June 3. She sent a reminder email on June 17 but no response. However, she got an email today to log in to her myCIC account for a message and she saw the request to send her passport. The consulates are working slow due to the strike but at least now we know they ARE working. In my opinion, online submission is faster and easier than applying thru VFS.

All those who are waiting for a result, please be patient for some more time and there will be action soon. When I came to know about the strike last week, we were mentally prepared to wait for at least one more month to get a communication.

Good luck to all.
