I am an American and my wife who is a Canadian citizen wants to sponsor me. I have a few questions and would really appreciate any help I can get. I am in Canada on a visitors visa, this is the second time in 5 months I have been here visiting.

1.) What kind of documentation must my wife submit in order to apply as a sponsor? How does she apply to be a sponsor?
2.) If/when approved as a sponser, what is the next step?
3.) Can I apply outland while in Canada on a visitors visa? Would that beneficial?
4.) Where would my paperwork be filed since I am in Canada? Would it be the U.S or Canada?
5.) Can I get my police clearance/certificate while I am in Canada, how would I go about that?
6.) Does my medical and police certificate have to be submitted with the first forms you mail out?
7.) When will I be able to start working?
8.) If (and hopefully not) I am called in for an interview, would it be in Canada or the U.S?

Any information would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You really need to read the instructions, guides and checklists first. Then ask questions. Start here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

Happy reading.

That didn't help as far as the sponsorship paperwork went.
Are you serious? Click "How to Apply". Most of your questions will be answered by reading the Guides and following the links.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp

And here's another link that will help you as well and tell what you need to provide and when.
