Hi All Experts and Asivad,

I have already submitted my application and got my ECA access. Its been a month since i got any update from CIC. However I am visiting this forum atleast once in a day and I saw many people saying they got PPR , some say they got COPR etc etc.

I just want to understand the further steps. I already made all the payment upfront. This means i will never get request for RPRF. Am i right. When will i know all is fine with my application. Currently i have ECA access with4 lines and my medicals are passed in EE.

Also i saw some people in october already got PPR. Do I need to worry for anything.

What is PPR

What is COPR

when do we need to submit passport for visa stamping.

Also visa office who decide that. As my country of origin is different from where I am currently staying. So will CIC automatically asked me to submit my passport in country where I am staying or what?

Also while submitting passport for stamping what other documents I need to submit.

Appreciate any help and guidance on above

Regards

Hello Dreams,

I am going to make it as succinct as possible.

1.) The official time period given by CIC for express entry applications for process is 6 months (should everything go well). So you can try and get your mind around it that it will be longer than just a month. The people who are getting their PPRs now have also been waiting in the process for more than a month or so and for the few lucky cases who have gotten it sooner, it is chance or perhaps their applications were rather short (less travel, single employment history, clear proof of funds etc etc) so it is all subjective.

2.) The CIC know where you are staying as you must have mentioned in your application. They will most probably facilitate your PPR in the closest Consulate/Embassy of Canada to you. Even if they do not, you can send them an email to change your Visa Office as many people have done this as well. They will tell you what all documents to submit in the PPR correspondence.

So my suggestion is for you to just hold on a little, wait for a couple more weeks. Hopefully you will get your update. It will be fine. :)

PPR : Passport Request
CoPR : Confirmation of Permanent Residence (I think)
