Hello experts,

I need some help in filling the Work History section during creation of Express Entry Profile.
Background - I landed in Canada in May 2014 on a valid LMO but in Feb 2015 my LMO got expired and then my employer extended my WP on ICT.
Now, while answering the following questions I am not sure what details to provide:
Doubt 1 - Was a positive Labour Market Information Assessment (LMIA) issued for the job offer in Canada?
If I say Yes, it asks for LMIA number, issue date and expiry date.
Question 1: Should I provide previous LMO details which was issued in 2012 and expired in 2013 based on which I received the WP till Feb 2015?

Doubt 2 - The next set of questions, asks me if I am currently working in Canada, have a valid WP, and was a positive LMIA issued for the current WP?
Question 2: Is it okay to say yes that I am currently working in Canada on a valid WP and that this new WP is not supported by LMIA?

Please share your inputs..may be it will help me.

Thanks in advance.

You won't find a consensus here. It seems to me that when it asks for a job offer, it is talking about your current job. I would say yes to job offer, and no to LMIA since you don't currently have one. I don't see how it matters that you USED to have one, except for the points you get for working in Canada for X amount of time. You can see that you need to answer no for whether there is an LMIA for the work permit you are currently working under.

I never had an LMIA for my job in Canada, which I have held under an open work permit since September 2013. I said "yes" to job offer and "no" to LMIA, because that is the truth. Others on here (with support from a particular paragraph on the CIC website, I admit) will tell you to say "no" to job offer if it is not LMIA supported. I believe that advice is wrong because 1) CIC COULD have asked if you have a "valid job offer" and then asked immediately for your LMIA number, not WHETHER you have an LMIA; 2) saying "yes" to whether you have a job offer does NOT result in the 600 points that it should if a yes automatically meant it was supported by an LMIA; and 3) I believe saying "yes" to the job offer is what allows me, with an ITA under FSW, to fulfill my Proof of Funds obligation by showing my T4 and NoA.

But, as I said -- there will be no consensus among people here. Answer the questions very truthfully, and then you cannot be faulted if those answers weren't exactly what CIC meant.
