Hi,

I have received my ITA under FSW. I have also recieved my reference letter from my employer.
I am currently working as Solution Design Consultant (Banking). My roles and responsibilities as per the letter are as follows:
• Gathers data and analyses specific segments in order to assist in the creation of market intelligence and gap analysis report
• Contributes in specific areas of a presentation/thought paper (point of view) describing a proposed solution including the pricing model, operating model and value proposition in order to complete the deliverable
• Develops content and formats the same in order to create collateral
• Collate background information of the client/prospect in order to enhance the understanding of the client context
• Develop parts of customized solution/contribute to creation of the entire solution in order to create the different value proposition
• Create the Request for Proposal responses as per the Request For Proposal process defined in order to bid for deal
• Participate in client interaction such as solutioning sessions, workshops, and client visits etc. in order to learn and understand the pursuit process
• Creation of reasonable artifacts in order to contribute to an updated knowledge repository

I am confused between 0125 and 1122. My responsibilities do match to 2171 but it is specific to IT professionals, hence I think i should not consider it.
Please help, I am lodging the final application next week

NOC code is dependant on matching of atleast 60 to 70% of your job duties with the job duties of a particular NOC code.
NOC code has nothing to do with your job designation.
If your job duties match in majority with those of 2171, then this is your NOC code.
Kindly redo this exercise and confirm your NOC code in e-APR. If there is a change of NOC code in your EE profile and e-APR, then you must explain this matter in LOE (Letter of Explanation).

While selecting the NOC, the duties and responsibilities mentioned in the NOC should be a close match with the actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you at the respective job. You need not match the duties and responsibilities word by word, but the idea is to have the closest match in terms of the spirit of the duties and responsibilities (at least 60%-70% match).

Also, NOC should be selected on the basis of the match of actual duties and responsibilities carried out by you rather than the designation match in the NOC list. If you are not sure of your NOC, write to noc@workingincanada.gc.ca with your duties and responsibilities and educational qualifications, they will help you find the closest fit.
