Dear forum members,
I have registered myself for IELTS in January2010.Needed guidance in IELTS speaking and writing.
Is there anyone to help me?Feeling so much nervous.
Anyone who had given IELTS exams today, kindly share your exams questions here.
Waiting. :(

Hi Brill,

first of all....RELAX!!...there is nothing to worry...IELTS is not like CAT,GMAT or IIT entrance, if you know basic english then you can clear it easily...for the listening part the best option is watch foreign channels like STAR movies, BBC news etc...try to follow what they are speaking, still better way is to rent english movies which have english subtitles (most orig DVDs have subtitles) so you can listen to the dialogues and also read them on the screen to double check your understanding....for the writing part, pick a random topic everyday and try writing an essay of 200 words using Microsoft word on your computer, then run the spell check and see how many spelling and grammatical mistakes you have and try to correct them, follow the step on a regular basis and you will improve your writing skills..and if you have a bad hand writing like me..:) then try to write in broken and not running handwriting....also you should have got 2 CDs free with your IELTS registration...use them ...and there is a link on the IELTS website called "Road to IELTS" login there using your roll no and try the sample tests...the only way to build confidence is to practice..practice and more practice...rest leave it to god..:)

All the Best & God Bless

Cheers,
Rishab

The way to improve speaking is to record your own speech on your mobile or any other recording device and then play it back to yourself or to somebody who you think speaks better english than you, they will be able to help you...atleast thats what I did...:)

Hi brill,

Please check below the questions which I got in my exam:

2. What kind of work I am doing and and how I am performing my duties?
3. Explain about the best library in the city?
4. How to use the library?
5. What is the Job Description of a librarian?

Writing:

1. I am suppose to meet my old friend with whom I did not meet him for a long time. Unfortunately I did not meet him because I met with an accident. I would like to write a letter to him explaining the whole story and would like to propose new meeting point.
