Ok guys i applied for a study permit on 28th september.Got call for medical on 5th October.Completed my medical today and the report will be sent to new delhi soon.I also sent back the passport to the embassy.I wanted to know were there any other documents i needed to submit with the passport?Because its just the passport that i sent.Should the medical letters have been sent back too?I am worried . :(

Plus my father is sponsoring me.Bank statement is 70,000 US $ plus 85 lakh pk rupees. My mother had applied for immigration in 2004, and that i mentioned. Will it do any bad to the application?.Anyways i told them that me myself have no intention of staying over there. And my sole purpose is education.I told them that i want to avail this good opportunity, and with this degree i would be able to serve my country more better. It will also make me a better member of the society.Though i didn't mention about properties, lands etc because i heard from somewhere that these assets don't prove your ties with the country. You need to be individually strong. Not depend on ur dad/family.I also attached the employment letter of my mother which is around 20000 US$ per year.
What do you guys think, is my application case strong or weak? How much approximate time will they take more after this medical step?

@ bleach

which school are you going to study at and in what course, duration...etc

did you show $70,000 plus 85 lakh Rs Rupees? or is it just $70,000?

Is your mother's case still in the process or she already got immigration?
What is the status of your dad? Will he go with your mom?

I tell you one thing money is not the only deciding factor no matter how much money u show your other aspects of the application should be good as well.

There is no fixed time. It is all on their mood like how long will they take to verify things or will they call you for an interview? it is upto them.

PS: btw, where are you living in Pakistan?

@Asadd
, thanks for your reply.
And its 70000$ plus 85 lakh ruppees. My moms case is still pending and all the family was part of that case. And i am going to Concordia Montreal.Program software engineering. And yeah i know money is not the only thing.Thats why i mentioned some other aspects too.Keeping in mind all these points, is there a good chance? And yeah i am currently living in Pakistan.

You have already crossed one barrier of medicals and waiting for the visa stamp. Let's be positive.

The first and important rule of student visa is to come back to your homeland after completing your studies as it is called a non-immigrant visa. You will have to prove your home ties. If all your family is going to immigrate then you are going to immigrate there as well after completing your studies.

How visa officers apply these rules on individual cases it is upto their interpretation.

Be positive, that's all I can say.

Yeah that point is important, but they do ask if ii have applied before,so i should have told them the truth.Because if they find ot if someones lying they cancel immediately. And i clearly mentioned for this application my sole purpose is to study. My cousin who was in the same situation had applied for the 2010 fall term and he got the visa.I hope i get it too.

Hey Bleach.....

I am hopeful for you......Don't worry mate...you will definitely get a good news soon....i am really happy that CHC requested medical within 7 days :) from the time you applied there...
Have you submitted semester fee in advance....

Hey thanks hasnaat brother for your support. And no i didnt submit the semester fees.My cousin who got the visa told me that it isn't needed.Should i?Does that make difference?
