Hi folks,
I have been working on my parents and cousin's visitor visas for USA and Canada as they are planning to visit this summer. They went on the same interview and got the USA visa in February. Because my cousin is required to have a separate application from my parents', so I applied for my parents and they got approved in late February. Everything was going so well until I got the rejection regarding my cousin's application.
Here is my cousin info. She have been living with my parents since she was born. Her parents divorced and she never met her father. so I prepared a notarized consent letter from her mother and divorce agreement stating that my cousin is in custody of her mother. I also provided a letter of explanation explaining the relationship btw my cousin and my parents and the reason why we were unable to obtain a consent letter from her father.
she has been to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand with 2 trips in 2014 and 2017 respectively. Both trips were going with me and my parents. therefore I enclosed our passport pages with the corresponding visa and travel pics to prove that we have been to 3 countries together.
I submitted on Mar 7 and received a rejection on Mar 20 with the following reasons.
1. purpose of travel
2. family ties in Canada and in country of residence
3. travel history
Yesterday i noticed that my father mixed up the purpose of travel letter with the USA visa documents. Therefore the purpose of travel letter was not submitted, which explains the first reason of rejection. But i m confused the second and third reasons. I do not how to deal with the family ties problem in this case. her mother is not going with her and that, i think, will make her has a big family ties in china since her mother is in china. For travel history i m even more confused, my parents have the same travel history with my cousin and my parents' visitor visa got approved.
Anyone can get me some advises on my second attempt?
