Please bear with me as i have no complete idea what me and my gf are entering:

Patulong lang po sana sa ilang mga tanong ko po.

1. Meron na pong employer yung fiance ko po as Caregiver sa canada (her employer is her "ninong"/godfather there). Ang napadala na po dito ng RCIC nya is Live in Caregiver employee contract at yung LMO. Bale all she needs to do nalang is start applying to the canadian embassy here in the Philippines.

Ang question ko po eh, mas mapapabilis na po ba yung application ng gf ko since my naghihintay na sa kanyang employer? Or would she still wait for almost 2 years to get a working permit and visa just like what I am reading right now on several threads of this forum.

To shorten the story, should my girlfriend wait atleast 2 years to get her working permit/visa even if she has already a patient waiting in Ontario when she already have a working permit and LMO.

Please bear with my ignorance... Thank you, Madaming salamat

Hi,

It will be processed as regular applicants, wala pong exemption ang caregiver sa normal processing time regardless kung kanino sya magwo-work but way back 2007 or 2008 pwede po yun. Request letter lang from employer na she really needs in Canada to be sent to CEM pero naghigpit na po sila ngayon.

Hopefully she finds another way to apply outside Philippines, sobrang tagal kasi ng processing ng caregiver sa Pinas at ang daming prosesong pagdadaanan sa POEA bago sya makaalis.

Good luck =)

Processing time for LCP here in the Philippines takes 24 mos...in fact, if you would check this website - www.cic.gc.ca - processing time is 36 mos...only divine intervention can make it shorter...OWP or Open Work Permit is for the caregivers who have already complied with the 24-month requirement for application for Permanent Residence...i hope this helps...
