help me its urgent regarding GIC..

i send my application form and my scanned documents to scotia bank for GIC last friday..its now being like 3 days but i still didnt get the further details from scotia bank..how many days do they take..please help..??urgent..??

have u got any mail regarding that ur "application is being sent to branch for processing" immediately after sending the email?

there may b some problem in your application... like sign all pages of applictn form nd pasport coloured copy.. scanned pages are not clear etc etc....... in normal it takes nly three days to get investment no. and three days for GIC after you remit ur amount... send application again and properly..gud lck

here's what happened with me:

I created a PDF which was 14 mb in size. hi def scanned pdf. i was sending it thru mail app of MAC OS X. due to poor internet connection mail was going without attachment and i was getting an immediate reply that my app has been forwarded to my branch. waited a week and tried again the same way.. this time too attachment did not go thru.

then i went to gmail, attached and made sure it is attached and sent it. got their mail after 4 days at around 1900 hrs IST with my account number.

after u wire funds to them give em 3-4 days. and u will get the certificate too.

no i didnt received it..is it is compulsary we have to receive..??

i think they had written give us three business days..what do they mean by business days..i send the mail on wednesday evening and its now being sunday evening..i think they have holiday on saturday and sunday..

i cheked my gmail account..in send folder i checked that it is sended along with around 2.5mb attachments..but i didnt received any immediate reply that my email have been send to branch..what do it means..

well I've heard abt it that everyone who applies get this reply but I havn't got any such reply yet . I applied on 31/10/2012

yo brother good news i also send the email on 31-10-2012..and i didnt receved immediate confirmation..so i again send the email about half an hour ago and receved immediate confirmation after one minute..i think there systems were not right on 31..so please u also resend the same and tell me what you got..hurry up..

Should i wait for waiting time of 5 days to complete ? as it is written on their site that repeated applications will result in delay .

no if you dont received any immediate confirmation means your apllication is not received by them..immediate confirmation must be there..as i received it today but not on that day..

just now I sent it again and have got this reply"Thank you for your interest in Scotiabank.

If you have contacted us with an application for the Scotiabank Student GIC Program, please note, you will not be required to contact us again. We will follow-up with you within 5 business days (please allow for time difference, weekends and other Public & Bank Holidays in Canada). "

This means my previous email was recieved

yes..i think what before went wrong in my case is that along with sending email to newaccount@scotiabank.com a also send cc to studentgic@scotiabank.com which is there quries email account..i think this went wrong..

ya brother same case with me..now i received the immediate reply that we have to receive..i think there was a problem on 31 oct as me and you send the email on same date but didnt received immediate confirmation..ireceived the same text as you received..
