Hey guys, i applied for CEC in June, received medical request few weeks ago and received request for additional information email from CIC.

they asked for my current mailing address, martial status, biodata and to pay RPRF.

BUT, in the beginning it says:

Dear xxxxxx
this is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review(security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing, you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.

i am confused, i am not eligible? Don't they return the application if i am not? But they are asking additional info and rprf?

please help

All good. You ARE eligible and the application is still being processed. All good, wait for CIC to request additional
documents or next steps in application process.
All the best!

what I understand from this email that, based on the docs you have submitted you are eligible to consider/process for PR under the class you have applied. Which also means they are satisfied with your documents, like employment data, hours worked etc.

in simple, you are passed the first phase - determining the eligibility - that's why you have asked to pay RPRF.

The next steps would be Medical and Background security checks. If you are OK in your medical results and they found your security checks / criminal background are OK, then you should get your PR.

all the best.

Eligibility and admissibility are different sets of criteria. As the letter indicates, nothing is final until the visa has been issued. But you're almost done : ) Send the docs -
