Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi,

I've applied for visitor visa for my in-laws last month and after 3weeks yesterday they received 'refused' letter from Delhi CHC.

that has below info from VO:

u have not satisfied me that u would leave Canada at the end of ur stay as a temporary resident
considering:
ur travel history
length of proposed stay in Canada

my in-laws never traveled outside India and this is their first intended travel.
i clearly mentioned in my invite letter that they will be staying for 3months.

i am not sure why he is not happy with it.

i am planning for re-apply, please help me in this.

thanks in advance.

How much money (in bank statements) did both you and your in-laws show to the visa office? What is the purpose of their visit?

i showed $12000 in my account here in Canada and i did attach the bank statement of mine.
also i added my father-in-law's bank statement but i am not sure how much he has in his account. i thought they need funds to survive in Canada, so Canadian funds would be enough. he could be wrong though.

my wife is pregnant and we want our in-laws to be here for their first grand child. i didn't mention this in my invite letter as one of my frnd told me that this might let VO think they might stay more than the intended period.

i am now planning to re-apply quickly as my wife's due date is Nov 5th. i want to know what all extra documents/proofs i've add to justify that they will be back after the period of 3months.

would attaching the copy of the flight tickets add any value here?

I think you father/mother in law should show similar amount in his/her bank statement in order to prove they can survive on own and it don't have to be in Canadian currencies. Local currency equivalent is acceptable. You need a purpose for your invitation. If you can't think of anything else, you might as well tell the truth that your wife is pregnant and want your in law to provide care during the visit to Canada. As seen in other posts in this forum, attaching a copy of flight tickets doesn't really helps. All the best, anyways.

They must show NO sign of wishing to work, paid or unpaid! They must show they have strong family ties back home. If they have jobs then they should get letters from their employers stating they are allowed time off work and their jobs are waiting for them when they get back. If they own a property then get them to take pictures of themselves in and outside the property and to include the property deeds in the application as proof. Finally, YOU must provide accuarte proof that you can afford to support them during their vacation. You should look into appealing or reapplying but listen to the advice on this forum and read the immigration laws as there are more than likely a few other important issues I have not mentioned.
