Hi guys. I'm new here kindly help me with my concern regarding question # 25 in form IMM5490-sponsored spouse questionaire. my wife and I have been getting through all the forms and we're now in the finalizing stage before we submit all of our application. i'm the one being sponsored by my wife. we got married last april 2015. she visited me 3 times already (once a year) since we got together / started dating on 2012. i'm kinda worried about the question in the said form "HAVE YOU VISITED YOUR SPONSOR DURING THE PERIOD OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP?" - the thing is i'm not sure what the question is pertaining to. is it house/personal visit or is it visit to her country which is in Canada? if it's the latter, how could i state that i didn't visit her during the 3 years of our relationship? would it be a red flag if i'll tell the truth that i don't have the financial capability to apply for a visitor/tourist visa? should i sugarcoat the fact that i'm not able to do it? should i just include all my wife's visits and tell them that although i didn't have the chance to visit her in Canada, we stayed together all the time during her stay/visit in my country and we visit each others houses all the time prior to our wedding? thank you guys in advance. i hope i'm not violating any of the forum rules here

Indicate that she visited you and list all of her trip dates and lengths.

thanks @Scylla for your answer. i already put all the details of my wife's visits in our country in question 24. i'm concered on what should i answer regarding question 25. i just wanna know if the whole financial issue excuse for not being able to visit the sponsor in Canada is a redflag to cic on that specific question. (have you visited your sponsor during the period of your relationship?)

anyways here's what i came up with while waiting for some help

-NO-
During my wife's yearly visits in the country (3 times since 2013), we were together all the time. We visited each other's houses, and went on out-of-town trips with our relatives and friends. We did spend a lot of time together. I wasn't able to visit my sponsor/wife in Canada because I was not sure if I'd be able to obtain a visitor/tourist visa since I don't have the financial capability to do so.

I wouldn't think that it would be a huge problem. The main thing is to be as honest as you possibly can be on the application. If the financial situation was the reason you weren't able to visit more than the three times listed, then it certainly isn't an excuse. I think CIC realizes that the whole situation is financially draining and would understand the reasoning for it. Though they will most likely want to see details on how you've communicated and otherwise kept the relationship going over the three years.
