someone could give me some advice or help, am visiting Edmonton Alberta,
have one week to arrive, have a tourist visa and by chance found a job can fit my criteria.
My question is if I change my tourist visa to work visa?
what do I need to do? It is possible?
What time it would take? The company is waiting to receive the LMIA,
and my visitor's permit expires in two weeks,
if anyone can answer the unknowns I would greatly appreciate it.

1. As a visitor you can't apply for a work permit in Canada, you have to apply to the overseas office responsible for your country of citizenship.
2. Until they have the LMIA you can't apply, the processing time, depending on the province is about 10-16 weeks.
3. If you want to remain, then you will have to extend your visitor permit.

As soon as the boader service security finds out you planning to work in Canada, they will not let you into Canada and you'll be banned for a year so be careful, come as a genuine visitor and leave and apply for work visa in your country,
