My study permit expires right before the end of my semester. I'm talking just a few days. I just want to extend the permit barely by 3 months or more (extra time for applying for graduation).
Most of the articles I've seen online assume that a student wanting to extend it wants to extend by 1 year. And so they say that you need to have $10,000 in your bank when applying for the extension to show that you have funds.
But in a case like this, do I really need to have $10,000 in my bank account? What is the minimum amount of time they can let you extend the permit by? And how much money do you need in your account?
Also my visa expires on the same day as my study permit. So what's the best path I can take to resolve that? Do I apply for the study permit extension and then once that is processed only then can I apply for the visa extension? Or do I first apply for the visa extension?
