I have 60% in computer engg, diploma after 10th cbse with 60% and IELTS with 6 bands. so i want to know wether i should for for diploma or advanced diploma tell me the course that i related to my field please its urgent
thanks in advance
Hi,
1. Improve your IELTS score. Try to get atleast 6.5 overall, with no band score less than 6.0. This is the minimum requirement for most of the programmes at degree and advanced diploma levels. You may get admission with 6.0 in IELTS in colleges, but that solely depends on the particular college..and you will need to email them individually and inquire about it.
2. If you can improve your IELTS, then definitely try applying for a 4 years full fledged B.E degree in CS/IT in any of the recognized public universities. You will need 6.5 overall in IELTS, and even though min. 60% is required for admission...but usually due to the competitive nature of the admissions, the min. requirement goes upto 70-75%, i.e only applicants with atleast 70-75% may get offer of admission. See, if you may get an offer of admission. If you get an offer..that will be best.
3. The next best option for you is to apply for a 4 years Bachelor's degree in Computer Sci./IT related field available in colleges. (again most probably you will need IELTS score of 6.5, with no band score less than 6.0)

4. But, if you are not willing to spend 4 years studying, is to go for a 3 years Advanced diploma in this field of CS/IT or atleast enter a 2 years Fast track Advance diploma, where you directly start from the 2nd year/3rd sem of the 3 years Advanced diploma. If possible go for an Advanced diploma with co-op/internship option. (You may get an offer of admission with 6.0 in IELTS in this level of courses, again... you'll need to talk to them)
5. For list of recognized colleges/Universities visit (listed province wise):
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/institutions/participants.asp
Go to individual college websites, and check for appropriate degree/advanced diploma programmes in CS/IT. You may also prefer to choose as per your preference for a particular province. Select programme(s) of your choice, and apply.
6. You can look for CS/IT related programmes at Degree/Advanced diploma level in colleges such as:

Hope it helps.
Best of Luck.
