Hi everybody!

my applicacation was received the 30 of july 2010, i sent owp application in the same envelope
my visitor visa will expire last day of september

questions:
i forgot to put a stamp and pay for the stamp for the envelope of owp, did i had to do it? or it was ok just paying for the stamp in the pr application)
if i dont receive the owp on before september it means that i hace to leave the country? or they will notify me.

for now what i care the most is that i can stay legally in canada until the processing my application but since the date of expiration for mi visa is close, im full of doubts how they work and what am supposed to do. i tried to send the application before but due to delays of the palace de justice for mariage certificate i had to do it until now

I don't think you need to put a stamp on your OWP envelope. That's fine. And even if you don't get a reply by September, that's fine too because you are in an "Implied Status" until CIC makes a decision on your OWP request.

I don't know about the stamp issue, but I called about what to do if we have sent the application for OWP but it isn't going to be ready before the visitor visa expires. The woman I talked to at CIC said that we still had to apply to extend the visitor visa, so I would do that if I were you. It's only $75 and it just makes sure you are covered.

Tita you are under implied status now,just wait the owp will come but as for now you are still legal,and the stamp?Im sure they will still send it to you.

well so other quetsion what the implied status means?
and to the person who called cic, did you called to the number is in the pr application? ive tried to call but seems impossible to talk with someone other than the machine.what is the number you called?

Yeah, I called the one in the application package. It took me a long time to get anyone, but I finally had luck this morning. I think you just have to keep calling until you get through. Good luck!
