Hi to all,

I am from Pakistan, I applied for Federal skilled program in Jan 2011. My wife is the principle applicant and now we got medical request on 10 sep 2013 for all family members which we have to submit with in 60 days.

Currently me and my wife moved to Saudi Arabia on job visa on permanent residence.

Now my Question is that do we need to change our Permanent address??
If we changed our permanent address will the visa will be stamped in Riyadh(Saudi Arabia) OR Islamabad(Pakistan)?????

Meanwhile my wife is pregnant also and her EDD is May2014.

I need help from u guys to solve this situation

See you are having this problem on top of the birth certificate issue :)

You were supposed to inform your visa office about your move to Saudi Arabia as soon as it happened.

If you have done so and already submitted the Police Clearance Certificates, then it is a simple matter of letting them know you are still in Saudi. They will ask you to send passports to London (if your visa office is London) or Abu Dhabi (if your visa office is Paris).

My case was almost the same. I had to go to Pakistan for the medicals, but they asked me to send passports directly to London.

You cannot send your passports to Islamabad (your wife could carry them, not allowed but no one will bother why she is carrying her husband's passport). Carefully plan how you want to proceed with visa stamping.

Regards,

By the way, how are you adjusting to the new Friday - Saturday weekend? :D

Thanks for the reply,

Yes we already inform them that we are in Saudi, and i sent them my police certificate also from KSA.
Well how much time is required by visa office from London to stamp the visa?As u know according the Saudi sponsorship rule NO one can keep its passport in its own custody, so i have to obtain my passport on special request and must inform my sponsor for the time required.

""""""""" YES now the new weekends are Friday and Saturday"""""""""" ;)

Six weeks is the time written on my passport request, not sure about the actual time it will take. It has been little over 2 weeks since I sent my passports.

By the way, what you said is incorrect, there is no such rule in Saudi that requires the sponsor to hold your passport. It is something many companies practice (but not a law). I know this because I work for a multinational and several colleagues of mine are very much in possession of their passports and travel at will, on top of that my father is still in Jeddah and he has never faced this problem. You may be aware that Saudi government gives multiple entry khruj now, so you don't have to involve your sponsor each time you want to leave the country.

Anyway not something I would advise you to pick a fight with your sponsor over. Do get a preview of how your sponsor feels about your immigration, before breaking the news to them. People have been known to get fired once there bosses found out they are immigrating.
