Hi guys,
I am going to submit my application for PR using job titles of Executive Assistant (NOC 1222) and Assistant Accountant (NOC 1212).
The problem is that before these two working experiences, I don't have any other working experiences. I do have some of volunteering experiences in the related area.
Fortunately, my two employers are very nice and the company that I am working for now would like to keep me for at least 5 years. So they are always willing to modify my reference letter and make it sound more persuasive.
So below is the job duties for the title of Executive Assistant, my first job. My hourly rate was increased to $11.50 to $13.50 after 3 months of employment.
• Set up and manage filing of documents as well as client general ledger
requirements;
• Proactively prepare meeting agendas, reports, spreadsheets, documents and
correspondence;
• Update company operations policy manual under direction of the President and
other principals, administer the employee review process;
• Manage the President’s calendar, coordinate meetings, conference calls, travel
arrangements and special events;
• Analyze all incoming and outgoing mail, determine urgency, accuracy and the
need for follow up prior to submission to the President;
• Create spreadsheets to integrate critical data, analyze financial data and
accomplish accounting tasks;
• Calculate year-to-date sales revenue and collaborate with the President to project
future cash flow;
• Liaise with direct reports to the President and other principals as required to
conduct business in an efficient and effective manner;
I have a bachelor degree in Accounting, so I left the first company and was hired as an Assistant Accountant by my second employer. Hourly rate is $16.50.
My main duties are:
• Co-ordinated activities with accounting team to verify, record day to day transactions and
maintain, balance various accounts in QuickBooks software.
• Matched, batched and coded of invoices, investigated and resolved queries relating to
invoices.
• Assigned duties and responsibilities to staff to achieve shorter Accounts Receivable
collection period and better cash flow management.
• Administered Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable; maintained files and prepared
updates for records for a charter of accounts.
• Processed and recorded financial documents and performed analysis of Financial
Statements for internal reporting purposes.
• Assisted Charted Accountant with preparation for year-end audit.
• Maintained accounting controls by revising and implementing accounting policy and
procedures to ensure the company is compliance with related regulations.
• Resolved work-related problems and submitted work progress to Chief Operating
Officer.
• Communicated accounting information to Chief Operating Officer to help revise strategic
plans; identified training needs and guided other units to understand accounting policy.
• Communicated with clients, staff, in English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Participated in special projects and performed other related assignments as requested.
Anyone who has experience for applying for these two title PLEASE give me some advice! Do they look OKAY to you? or what changes would you like to make?
THANK YOU!
Lynn
