Hello all,
I have already graduated from a master program in Ontario. It consists of four continuous academic terms(four months for each term).
When I got my PGWP a few days ago, I found out it only had a length of 15 months.
I thought this is really weird.
First of all, four terms are usually regarded as two academic years. So I think I deserve a three-year work permit as stated on CIC website.Actually I knew one of my classmate, who is in the same program with me, graduated in the same term, and even got the same confirmation of graduation status letter from the department with me on the same day. And he got a three-year work permit.
Second, granted that the officer has different understandings on the length of program, I should have a 16-months work permit at least.
So I think the officer calculated the length of my program as 15 months by mistake.
Do I stand a chance to ask them to re-evaluate my case? If so, how?
