Hi everyone:
My mom is staying with me in Canada, we applied for a supervisa but I don't know why the passport was returned with a multiple visa, which is fine. But the only problem is with a multiple visa you only get 6 months permition to be here. I want to cross the border through Niagara and then come back to get another 6 month stay. I am afraid they may deny it, besides someone told me you have to stay outside Canada for at least 12 hours is this correct?
What if I apply for an extension inside Canada?

Please someone that has gone through this or knows about this can help me.

Thank you

You can apply for ext in Canada, infact even ask for 2 year ext if you satisfy Supervisa needs
Many of us including myself have got 2-3 continuous extensions for folks currently and in the past

Thanks soo much for replying, my only problem right now would be I do not meet the supervisa requirements cause am not working actually I am studying, so with this being said would my last resource be crossing the border and coming back?

Thank you so mucho for your help

You can do that but why not simply apply for regular visa ext, ie., 6 months

So for a regular visa extension you don't need proof of income?

Thanks
