HELP! Extend Visa Denied

Ok so here is my problem:

I came to Canada December 29th 2015 to do an exchange program for a Spring Semester in Graphic Design. The semester itself is only 4 months and as I am a British Citizen I did not need to apply for a visa as I can be in the country for sixth months.

I love the beauty of Vancouver so I decided to stay until August the 5th where I booked my flight home. Yes the flight is BOOKED. I was told it was no big deal, just apply to extend your temporary status for an extra month and a bit. I did it all, provided information financially and explained in the letter what I was doing. I got a reply saying it had been DENIED!!! This was due to:

"Persons wishing to extend temporary resident status in Canada must satisfy an officer that
they will leave Canada by the end of the period authorized for their stay, that they will not
contravene the conditions of entry and that they do not belong in a category of persons
inadmissible to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act."

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? I have also read that I have 90 days to apply for a 'restoration of status' but I will be gone by the time that is up. Does this mean I am off the hook? Is it ok just to leave it as I am not staying longer than 90 days after my temporary stay expires? (Which will be June 29th, I want to leave August 5th).

A few days before your status expires, submit a paper application to extend. The processing time is currently 115 days, so it most likely won't even be looked at before August 5th. You will have Implied Status after June 29th.

Do you mean apply for a restoration of status or just apply for another extension?

You don't need to apply for Restoration because you still have valid status. Apply for another extension.

Ok it is getting near to the date where my Visa runs out. I will be applying on the 27th of June and its runs out on the 28/29th. I am getting very worried though. Just a few questions, thanks so much for your help by the way:

Should I do a really thorough application or just a quick one?

What sort of questions will they ask me at the border when I go home? What should I say?

Basically I'm scared that they won't let me back into this country again

Just apply today and get it over with.

Submit what you are required to, no more, no less.

They won't ask you anything at the border; Canada does not have exit controls.

You will have valid legal status. Keep your extension receipt.
