Dear everyone,

I have the following working experience and I'd like to get your advice on the qualifications of it for CEC.

2010.10-2011.8 full-time working (NOC 2161) under post graduate work permit (PGWP);
2011.9-current full-time study for a PHD degree, part-time working as TA/RA;
2012.10-2013.8 part-time working (not TA/RA, worked for the same employer as before: NOC 2161, 10hrs/week) using PGWP;

I applied for PR under CEC in 2011, but then got rejected as my working time was less than a year (2010.10-2011.8). I would like to apply again but am not sure if any of my additional working experience after 2011.8 would qualify for the new CEC. It seems under the new policy, any working experience obtained during full-time study does not qualify for CEC, but does anyone know if there's any chance that I could use the one from 2012.10 to 2013.8 to apply again? Any suggestions or thinking?

Thanks a lot!

Since you became a student in 2011/09, i feel they won't accept any work experience until you change status.
Did you check PHD stream on your province?

Yes Apply under Phd stream....Two friends of mine got their PR in 12 months under it..But you have to apply in ur second year or after that. People who applied in first year got their application return and was told to send in second year. Also, try sending in first month of the year..I remember some one who mailed in november first week got his application back due to quota of that year has been filled. they have a limitation on number of candidates in PHD Stream...
