HELP!! CIC Stage 2 RCMP check requested!

I am in Australia applying for the IEC WHP but CIC have requested an RCMP check because I have lived in Canada for more than 6 months in the past.

Processing times for an RCMP check from outside Canada is 18 weeks!!! However CIC said I must submit the RCMP check within 4 months time from now (less than 18 weeks from now)

The letter I received from CIC said if I could not supply the RCMP check I should explain why and they will acess my application without it.

Has anyone else been in this situtation??

My only options seem to be 1) Fly to Canada and get the police check done in 3 days over there OR 2) submit my application without the RCMP check and hope for the best??!!!

Help??!!

I'd contact CIC at question (AT) cic.gc.ca or the hotline if possible and ask them what to do.

I havent had any luck contacting CIC but Ive found a company in Canada that will convert my fingerprints to electronic copy and send to RCMP on my behalf so processing time is only 3 days, see worldwide forensic services in Toronto

Much cheaper than flying to Canada!

What's the company called? Would be interesting to know just in case someone else gets in the
same situation again..
