Hi everyone,

I just want to double check: I hold both Study and Work permit. I've graduated from my University in May 2013 and my study permit is still valid until July 2014. I'm currently employed in Canada and my Work Permit is valid until July 2016. My passport is also valid until June 2015 (I'm a Russian citizen) BUT my multiple-entry student visa (category S1) expires in July 31 of 2014. Question is whether I can travel to Europe for two weeks on July 5th and then safely come back to Canada to continue working? I couldn't find any information about the time limits (For example, many countries require your passport to be valid for at least the next 6 months to travel safely but I'm not sure if visas follow the same rule). I did see answers like: As long as you travel within the validity of your visa - it should be ok; however I don't really want to take any chances and would appreciate any help/advice/links that can provide concrete information for those cases. Thank you so much in advance ::)

As long as you return within the validity date of the TRV 31/07/14.
