Help! Can I keep working after Sin and work permit expires?

My work permit under live-in caregiver will expire at the end of this year,first application for a extension was refused because I didn't provide the contract(there wasn't contract in on line document checklist though.) I am reapplying for a renewal. According to CIC processing time, I will receive the new work permit in Feb.Before that, my sin will expire the same day my work permit will expire, can I still work?

2. Do I need or need not to provide New LMO for same employer? Got confused by all the answers here. Some says cic call center agent suggests a LMO. My rejection letter mentioned only contract, not LMO, but I need to know for sure, can't afford to be refused again.

Just got the answers from CIC call center today, I can reapply on line, and I can keep working till the decision made, and No need to provide LMO under the same employer. God bless me!
