We are on the IEC working visa at the moment which expires on July 17th 2017. We are Dec applicants, paper based PNP, meds passed 12th Jan and BG checks in progress but I'm worried that we won't get PPR (and then PR card) in time for travelling to Scotland in July for our wedding. Current wait time for PR card alone is 57 days and the processing time for PR is 18 months which takes us to June 2017. Can we get a bridging open work permit, and if so could we travel and return to Canada on that visa and wait to do our landing until August?
