Hi Asivad,

This is sanjay from hyderabad , currently working in MNC as a system admin for 4.7 years after my graduation was completed in

2010

i want to Apply for EE SINP under without job offer

Questions:

1. im married but i want to apply as single as my wife and 2 kids will NOT be accompanying me to canada , will this cause any misrepresentation and my application get rejected
2. POF as there are 3 dependents i need to take care of and as they will not be accompanying me to canada , will i have to show 13000+ $CAD for single primary applicant or 18000 $CAD for 1 primary applicant as well as 3 dependents even if they are not accompanying me to canada
3. Is PCC for my spouse is also required , even if she is not accompanying me
4. if everything goes well and i have to land in canada , will i have to sponsor my family members to canada in 6 months ? is that mandate ?

Hi Asivad,
Wanted to clarify couple of things on the first point. I think you meant he should select as married and choose wife/kids as not accompanying, correct? As marking as 'single' would be misrepresentation...just wanted to make it doubly clear for sanjay. Also another thing to bear in mind on the same point is that, I have read somewhere that If someone goes alone leaving the family a) they will have to give a solid reason to do that and b) it can take a very long time(3 or 4 years) to sponsor the family after you go there...Im not 100% sure though
Thanks

Yes for the former - I did not clarify that upfront as they appeared to know about the 'accompanying' thingy.

No for the latter. It is not CIC's place to question yours or your spouse's life decisions. Neither can they delay spousal/family sponsorship ONLY because the PA chose to immigrate alone first - those applications will be processed just like other sponsorship applications.

No, I didnt mean they will delay just because one person migrated first. I meant that family sponsorship takes more time. I just checked
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp
and it is 16/17 months. And only after one becomes a PR, he/she can process.

That understanding is correct. Family sponsorship definitely takes longer than EE. However, the new government has made some good noises on family reunification so that situation may change in the future.
