[HELP] Applying for Express Entry

Hi everyone,

I am about to apply my express entry with a job offer but I have a question on the Express Entry regarding the education qualification.

I have created my profile with my personal reference, while I was filling everything in. I am stuck on the education part.

I saw that I need to input the start year and my end year for the academic. But here is the problem, I am not sure how to enter the academic year as I have been self-studying on getting my grade.

More details about my education background. I have studied in the UK from Year 5 to Year 9, then went back to Hong Kong and study one year of Year 10. After that year I have skipped the GCSE level and went to take a 2 years course on Diploma in IT in the UK, unfortunately I have failed the diploma which lead me with no qualification. Recently I have taken the IGCSE exams with 5 passes by self-studying. (IGCSE is equivalent to a High School Graduate in Canada).

So how could input the academic year when there is no school taken before my IGCSE exams.

So does that mean I leave the education background blank when applying for the Express Entry? Coz I thought everything has to be entered.

You have to enter everything. This scenario seems odd. Qualifying for express entry with a high school diploma is very strange.

How about if my spouse applying it with her degree, do i still need to apply individually or i will be included in her application?

Would that be easier and better chance of getting the ITA

Think you need to do a lot more research about immigration. If your wife is attending a Canadian school that qualifies her for PGWP after graduating she would likely have a good chance of qualifying if she works in a skilled job. You will also be able to get a work permit if she meets the qualification for SOWP and that also would give you a better chance at qualify to immigrate. A spouse would be included on the other spouse's application.
