Hi everyone, please kindly assist, I arrived in Edmonton in April on a 1 year temporary work permit as a Machinist Skill Level B.My wife therefore qualifies to apply for an open work permit and our 2 children for study permits. She has all her papers ready but there are a few areas that I'm worried about. My employer has offered me the job permanently and he has written a letter saying so and asking CIC to please approve my wife's application because they believe that families should be together and that their workers perform better if they have their families with them. Can my wife include that letter with her application, will this revelation not jeopardise her chances of getting approved. She was recently retrenched and I'm worried that will affect her open work permit application as they will say she will not leave Canada since she has no job to get back to.She also does not have any money at the moment but have written a letter of support saying that I will be responsible for my family's welfare while they are here and attached my payslips, will this help since my wife doesn't have much money to her name? She has a stromg educational background though,a Master's degree in Communication and diplomas, can we use this to her advantage somehow? How else can she prove that she will leave Canada at the end of her stay.We have strong family ties so that one is not a problem.

Any advice that you can give me will be most appreciated so that my wife can get approved because we miss each other so dearly.
