I applied for fall intake on9th july and got refusal on26 aug . Again i applied on 2 sep. And again refused on 14 sep on the same grounds .
Profile -10th - 60%
12th - 70%
B.tech- 55% (2013 to 17) without backlog.
Experience- 2 year in same field.
Ielts - 6/5.5 in one module
Course - IBM Logistic
Refusal- 1. purpose of visit
2. Your proposed of study is not reasonable in the light of : your qualifications, previous studies, mark sheets, academic record, level of establishment, future prospects, plans / or language abilities.

You have poor score in BTech, you have poor score in IELTS and IBM doesn't seem to be the right choice after B.Tech

Anyone call tell that you are going there to settle.

My academics are worse than yours. I have yet to apply but you (or we) need a strong SOP and apply for a master's program for a higher chance of VISA approval.

Change your program because there's no sense in applying again and again with the same profile

Try to opt for a program which matches with your bachelor's and work experience.

I believe IELTS is a fraudulent business that is purposefully difficult for ESL people to retake multiple times, thus pay more money. It's more about time management and understanding how it works than it is about assessing your proficiency in English. I've seen many people with high IELTS score yet seemingly low English fluency and skills.

So what's your point? Most exams like are that. Need to get a good IELTS score regardless of English fluency or not

And what are you basing that statement on? Cite your sources. His IELTS score seems to meet the minimum requirement for most DLIs that offer undergraduate programs.

Have you taken any exams in your life? TOEFL, GRE, GMAT, SAT and many more are all reasoning based exams similar to certain sections of IELTS. If you understand how the exam can be worked, you can score higher

My point is that his IELTS score, as long as it meets the minimum requirement shouldn't matter that much. Without this score, he would likely have not been accepted into his DLI to begin with. I edited my original post for the sake of clarity.

Minimum IELTS score is only a thing for colleges. There's no minimum score for the visa officer. For example, I am from a non-native English speaking country but because I did my undergrad in the US and (hopefully) through my well written SoP, I didn't need to do IELTs. What is good enough is entirely to the discretion of the officer. You could have great academic transcript but an okay IELTs and get the visa or okay academics but a great IELTSs score and get the visa. Point is there is no minimum, only enough to convince and in the sake of OP, his entire application wasn't convincing enough. IMO, he has both poor academics and IELTs and unlikely to be a good student in Canada which is why he needs to address that section.

Thanks for clarifying your point. It seemed as though you were conveying the notion that your IELTS score is important for the assessment of your study permit application.

Is IELTS even required for non-SDS applications? I assume that means you can submit a complete application without uploading IELTS scores at all.

No it isn't. My country does not have SDS and I was not required to upload my IELTS score, however, I uploaded it anyway.

Unfortunate. Now for any future SP applications, VO will be aware that English proficiency was one of the rejection reasons - meaning you might need to upload new scores despite IELTS scores not being a requirement at all.
