2. Do i need to show that i have money in my bank account? Do i need at least couple of thousands? Or so i need to show how much i make at work (per hour) from my employer?
3. Is it true that it takes years to sponsor your spouse from the states? If not how long does it usually takes to sponsor someone from the states( He lives in Seattle wash.)

hi,
you are better off asking future questions in the board specific to family sponsorship, as there are many many threads dedicated to US applications. there is no need to re-post these questions on that board, however you may want to take subsequent questions there or read the threads for answers to your questions.

1. i'm not sure where they ask for bank statements, however if they do, then you don't need to submit detailed records. generally the bank statements are used to prove shared banking accounts/addresses. they are not going to sift through your purchases and question how much money you have.

2. there is no minimum income requirement for sponsoring your spouse. the only financial requirements for a sponsor are that they are not currently receiving welfare and haven't filed for bankruptcy. the required NOA will show this information to IRCC. IRCC doesn't care how much money you earn per hour, they care whether it's likely you'll apply for welfare upon approving the application.

3. US outland applicants are currently being approved in 6 months or less. it certainly does not take years for outland applicants. perhaps you are referring to "inland" applicants. The "inland" process takes 12-24+ months, regardless of where the applicant is from. Considering your spouse is currently in Seattle, you will be applying "outland" and you can assume a 6 mo. timeline.

you will want to familiarize yourself with the checklists and guides so you are aware of document requirements.
