Hi everyone. I am starting to get a little anxious on this whole waiting thing.

I sent my package in +1040+medicals+ background check in july 27th and they probably received it sometime in August. I have not got an email and neither has my fiance in regards to them receiving the package/ accepting is SA. Is there some way I can get ahold of them to see what is going on? I am reading a few posts of them already approving SA for some people.

They are processing applications from before you sent your package. Be patient. Give them some time. Wait a couple more weeks before bothering to call them because if they haven't opened your application then they won't be able to tell u anything anyway. Right now they are on June 26th so you have a while longer to wait.

Mississauga doesn't send an email to confirm the package has been received.

CIC is currently working on applications received in late June / early July - so probably have another few weeks to wait before you'll hear anything. Some people from July have in fact received SA - but from what I've seen these are people in very early July and your application hasn't been reached yet. What you're experiencing is perfectly normal. No need to worry.

There's going to be a lot more waiting ahead of you without hearing anything. So you might as well get used to it now. Unfortunately that's how CIC operates.

Yeah you won't hear anything until they start looking at the application. If the sponsorship application is straightforward you should hear back very soon after; it was just a couple of days for us between "acknowledgement of reciept" to "sponsorship approval".

Yes dont worry you're well within time. They received our application on July 11th and we received an email just last week 26th August with SA so you've probably got a few weeks yet.

I got a letter sent back saying that I have to replace some of the documents. I sent it in July so its really annoying that I have to find the new forums and send it in. Hopefully this will be all they need because if it hits a new year and they still dont got it figured out im going to be pissed.
