Hello, I am sure that this question has been answered time and time again, but I have not been able to find it. How does one go about getting a PRC, for a family, just in general? Say like myself, I am a married woman with a small child. How does my family go about getting a card and being able to move to Canada if we so desired? Must we have a residence and work first? Any links, comments, or already posted threads will be greatly appreciated!

1. Too big of topic. Assuming you wish to apply as a skilled worker, start your reading here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/index.asp

1. You can apply for proof of citizenship for the children: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof-how.asp if you were a Canadian citizen at the time of their birth and you didn't receive your citizenship through descent. (In other words you were either born in Canada, or were a PR in Canada and applied for citizenship)
2. Once you have the Proof you can then apply for Canadian passports. You can actually apply at the same time you apply for proof if you wish.
