@Marimuthu
I am a Mechanical Engineer in my Bachelors. Worked in software Industry for 6 years. Many discouraged me from applying MS in Software Engineering. But I did it anyway and got admission in every university I applied. I provided strong SOP why I changed from Mechanical Engineering to Software Engineering. With a good SOP and good IELTS score you will get an Admission in Universities or Collages.

However getting Visa is more tricky than getting an admission. There are many collages established recently just considering International students as cash cow and started milking them as much as they can. In fact there are collages in and around Montreal that are no bigger than Kindergartens in metro cities of India. So Visa officers are doing their best to avoid students enrolling in collages just to land in Canada.

My suggestion to you is get a good IELTS score and a strong SOP and financials should convince VISA officers and grant you Visa.
Make sure you write why do you want to change your career and be truth full with all your documents and mention plans of how this degree would fetch you a better future in home country after your studies in Canada.

I heard stories of people who are able to convince Visa Officers(VO) changing careers and got their Visa Approved. Hope you all the best in your applications.

FYI, I am still waiting for my Visa and attending online from Sep due to Pandemic.
So there are many seniors here who would give you more valuable suggestions and insights.

Happy Christmas and New year in Advance....:)
You understand that he is trying to apply for a trade diploma i.e. welding or something like that? That is a huge difference between switching from Mech. Eng. to Software. Eng. and going from a Engineer to a Welder (also a lower level of study)

@tapperb Sorry, I was not aware trade diploma is very low than Engineer. Sorry about my lengthy post. Thank you very much for the input. I will remove my comment. My input will be bit misleading to him.

Thanks again.
