Hi There
My wife applied for canadian citizenship. She got two calls for test but she could not attend as she was out of coutry. Each time we wrote a letter back to CIC that she can't attend the test as she is out of country. She was out the country for over a year. She is living in canada from last 7 years and meets the 1095 days requirements. In total, she may have lived outside of canada for two years out of last seven years.

Now I enquired about the status of her application. CIC has told me that she will receive a notice to appear for a hearing with a citizenship judge.

Could someone please advise me what will happen in the hearing and next.

Thank you in advance.

nothing will happen.
just get ready to answer the Judges questions.
why you missed the test.
why out of country.
whats future plans.
etc etc.

prepare for the test and request the judge to take the test.
hope fully you get the oath date after that :)

Hi everyone,
Does anybody have any experience or ever heard about the applicants cases which their passport stamps doesn't match the application they submitted?
What could possibly be the outcome if they go to hearing?

many thx

Why was she out of the country? Why didn't she go to the test anyway? My friend crossed the Atlantic to go to her citizenship test as she was out of the country when she got the invitation to the test.

achillies,
citizenship agents willl look if the stamps match with the data you entered.
otherwise you need a proof.
if you dont have the proof then days wont be counted.
