I have a skin problem named 'Vitiligo' . Vitiligo is a loss of pigmentation disorder in which white patches appear on the skin. It is not contagious condition. But people with vitiligo has to suffer emotional distress due to this depigmentation resulting in skin white patches problem in their skin.

Do you think this skin problem will have any affect in medical clearance for Canadian immigration?

I know one family who moved to Canada last year. Their kid had vitiligo but it didn't hamper their immigration process. But that kid's vitiligo was not much noticeable.

No. Vitiligo cannot be the cause for rejection. Only people with serious diseases that may cause heavy financial burden on Canadian medical system get rejected. And guys with history of TB, too, may be rejected.

Let's hope your condition won't be used for medical inadmissibility. However, you need to realize that each case is dealt alone, there is no generalization, especially is that the rule behind medical inadmissibility is made so flexible to allow visa officers to maneuver. Therefore, if, God forbids, you face any difficulties, you have to be ready to fight for your right thru appealing. There are so many cases which successfully turned over that inadmissibility decision.

You should be ok, don't worries.

Good luck

It's my opinion that it's not going to cause admissibility. They are looking for communicable diseases for the most part I think.

I cannot be a reason to create medical inadmissibility. So don't worry
