There are various insurance companies (big and small.. Canadian and international), which offer Annual health insurance coverage plans for temporary foreign workers in Canada. You need to do some research..and find the best rates and clearly understand the terms and conditions before purchasing a personal health insurance.

Some provinces like Alberta, Manitoba and Saskatchewan provide basic health insurance to temporary foreign workers:

You need to go through the official website of the province you plan to reside in, and check if they provide heath insurance coverage for temporary foreign workers/residents or not.
