Headshot Photograph UK HELP NEEDED ASAP

Hi Team,

So I have everything set and ready to send away in my PR application other than the Canadian sized passport photograph, which has entirely different dimensions to the ones we get here in the UK.

How did everyone else get theirs? Can I do it online? Can I just print it on photo paper myself and write details on the back?

Please help guys, really want to send this off! Thanks!

The instructions say specifically not to do what you’re suggesting. You can print the instructions/dimensions directly from the IRCC website and give them to your photographer

No, of course you can't do it yourself. Photos have to meet CIC specifications.

In the UK we don’t have photographers who do this kind of thing, it’s all automated from little kiosks.

Any British expats out there with any guidance?

I just googled passport photos London UK and a bunch of options came up that were not automated.

That doesn't matter because they can do them to spec.

Again, print the instructions and give them to any photographer that does passport pictures

Literally says

As said above any good photography shop that can do passport photos will likely have both the software to map to any countries photo spec and print them to that spec.

One piece of advice is to get both a hardcopy and also ask to have a softcopy sent to your email given you never know when you might want a copy in the future.

It will certainly not be as cheap as supermarket photo booth but at least you can expect not to get rejected for an invalid photo.
