I am on SOWP. Aiming for HCWIP 2026. I have got an offer as home child care provider for 2 kids whose age is 12 and 9. If I accept the offer and work until elder kid turns to 13, and continue as caregiver for 2nd kid (10 years) as both parents working fulltime and return to work from September 2025. Does IRCC consider this experience if we submit all pay slips, T4 or NOA and employment verification letter? or Do I need to look for younger kids? Please help me if anyone has experience regarding this?

Will you be working full-time given both kids are in school full-time and can the parents justify why they would need to pay and makes sense to pay for a full-time caregiver for children who are in school most of the day. For example do they both work unusual hours so you work mainly after school until late at night or they start early in the morning so need childcare starting at 6-7am when they leave to go to work for example. Do they travel a lot for work so may work on evenings and weekends sometimes? Is their income so high that they have enough additional after tax funds to justify paying for a full-time nanny instead of after school programs for example and does the nanny also take on other duties during the school hours like preparing meals for children, cleaning for the children, laundry, etc.

Yes, Its full-time and morning 2 hours (get them ready, prepare breakfast and dropping off at school and after noon 4 hours(Preparing meals for children, cleaning for them, laundry, pick-up from school, help them to complete homework, and drop-off and pick up to recreational activities). Sometime needs to support on weekends as well. They both work for 8 hours a day and 2 hours commute time. Hence, they need a childcare provider.

You can certainly try but eldest child will be over 13 before end of processing and perhaps much older because processing can often take years. Have they had a nanny in the past? It would be an unusual time to add a nanny. Also impossible to determine what will happen with program next year.
