I apologize for the length of this. Please help!!! I am really so lost and have no idea what to do at this stage.
I applied for PR online to the Home Child Care Provider (HCCP) pilot program on January 6 2022. I heard nothing from IRCC until Aug 2022 when they sent my application number and biometrics request for my son. Then nothing until Sep 2023 when I was able to link my application to my online gckey account.
IRCC requested lots of additional documents from myself and prospective employer between September 2023 - February 2024 all of which were provided as available.
After 3 months of no update at all since my last correspondence I requested GCMS notes where one of the notes (dated Feb 14 2024) said “After a thorough review of all documentation included in the application, I am satisfied on a balance of probabilities , PA meets language/education requirements and has a valid job offer. In addition, I am satisfied employer has sufficient income to pay caregiver wages and job offer is consistent with reasonable needs of the employer. Stage 1 PENDING SECURITY”
Upon reading this one can imagine how happy or hopeful I’d be of a positive response soon. However in these same GCMS notes I noticed that as of the same Feb 2024, my security clearance and that of my son were ‘Passed’ with only my husband’s ‘In progress’. Now at the time I figured just wait it out however my husband and I ultimately divorced in October 2024 (just generally due to a breakdown in the marriage). I sent in my divorce certificate at that time.
Now 3 months later there is still absolutely zero change in status. I’ve called in to the client support, inquired via webform, and asked for new GCMS notes and it’s like my application hasn’t even been looked at in a year. No new notes at all and they are STILL saying my application is pending security check of my ex-husband.
In what world does this make any sense. This man is by definition no longer a dependent person of mine. Why should his security check continue to have any effect whatsoever on my application. I cannot make sense of this no matter how I spin it. I have been waiting 36 MONTHS in total and the publicized processing time is currently 34 months. How much time is too much time to just continue to “have patience” because my application is pending “complete and still under review”.
It’s more so frustrating knowing that myself and sons security checks (which should be the ONLY ONES THAT MATTER now) are actually passed and that if only they would nullify my ex-husband from my application then it might progress.
Oh also, medical exams passed by all parties as of Jan11 2024
