HC AND OWP

Does anyone know if a person can get OWP while waiting for an HC application to be processed?

Only if you are already working in Canada under a valid work permit and your H&C application has been accepted for processing. Both of these conditions have to be met in order for an OWP to be approved.

f I'm n Canada from visa exempt country, married to a Canadian citizen and applying inland under family class with HC, then I wouldnt be able to get OWP under the new OWP pilot project?

If you submit a regular inland application under family class, then you will qualify for an OWP at around the 4 month mark.

If you go the H&C route, then you need to already have a valid work permit in Canada in order to qualify for a BOWP (bridging open work permit).
