HBsAg +ve and carrier of Hepatitis B

Dear All,

This is probably the first post from me.

I am applying for FSWP. Have been detected with HBsAg 7 years ago, though I never had any jaundice or something in my life.

Pleae let me know the chances of getting the Visa. Nobody is able to conclusively give an answer.

It depends on whether you are reasonably likely to cost the Canadian medical system more than the average person. CIC has people to make this determination, but you would get a letter explaining this and time to appeal/rebut the decision.

I believe it is worth talking to an immigration attorney who can share his/her expertise on this.

Please share your case or any other case for the same problem.

Can we avoid declaring this in the health form and in that case, will they be able to find out using the FSH and LH value in normal test report? In that case what can be the max FSH and LH values with which we can get through without having to declare.

Is there a specific HBsAg test taken during the medical examination?
