Hi guys,

i know this might sound weird. I m pregnant with another mans child and will be delivering soon. After the delivery he will be getting his biological father’s name on his birth certificate. Things are not good between me and my husband and this is what happened I got pregnant with my boyfriend. My question is i recently got provincial nomination and my current husband is already in my application. I do not want to mention my soon to be childs name on it as he will be canadian by birth & will have different surname. Are there any repurcussions to it? I cant divorce my current husband as the application got this far and he is not capable of doing anything of his own. And divorce proceedings will take very long. What shall i do in this case?

i might not be clear with the question. If anyone gets it please reply to this thread i shall clarify more.
PS i really do not want any type of judgemental comments

Basically you and your husband are separated, so much so, you are having a baby for another guy. Let's be clear, you must declare ALL children and dependents regardless of if they are Canadian or non-accompanying. Which in your case, the new born child would be both. When you declare this, you will have to provide proof of birth with the birth certificate that would clearly outline the father. You can not hide this fact. However, what you are describing is a material change in your marital status. Whether IRCC will dig into this is up to them. Your main responsibility is to make a full and clear disclosure of the baby.
