Having a full-time job in Ontario, what's next after OINP closed?

Hello guys,

I've been working in a full-time, NOC A category position for a year. So irony just after my entering to the EE pool there came the bad news about OINP being paused.. :'(

I'm an inland CEC with a Canadian Bachelor degree from Nova Scotia. My PGWP expires in Jan 2017, my hope was relied on OINP but now it's gone.

Even if I maxed out my IELTS, the CRS would only reach 441. What should I look for next? Is there any other pnp that I may apply for?

Many thanks!

You will have to check the individual province website for the PNPs. Check this link, it has the links for each PNP http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/provincial/apply-who.asp.

OINP will likely reopen around that time, but you'll have to look for ways to retain legal status in Canada, or leave Canada when your PGWP expires while you are awaiting a decision on your PR/PNP.

Or wait for Nova Scotia to announce their 2016 quota, if ever, or get a job offer in NS.
